The theme of today (starting early in the morning) has been that of waiting. Waiting for tow truck number 1, waiting for tow truck number 2, and a full morning of waiting on the space dragon's repairs.
Fortunately for us, the space dragon had cooled down enough for us to make it across the street from the Dollar Inn to the faithful I-65 Auto & Transmission shop.
As early risers, we secured a spot in their garage for the space dragon to be inspected by Gary's finest mechanics.
It took some time for them to figure out what the issue was, as it is in the space dragon's nature to remain obscure.
So the morning continued as it had begun in the wee small hours of the night - waiting.

Disliking the current situation |
Lucky for us, Gary had a lot to offer stranded wanderers like us. For starters, there was a miniature alligator right in the I-65 auto shop! On top of that, we had 5 gourmet restaurants to choose from - Arby's, Wendy's, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. There were also several 5 star hotels, one of which we resided in last night (or this morning rather for all of 4 hours) including Lee's Inn. After we had our fair share of food and accommodation, we took for the shade of Cracker Barrel and treated ourselves to rocking chairs and giant checkers. The following pictures help give you an idea of why we had a hard time leaving Gary at 3pm when the space dragon was finally reborn again.
