After three days on the road, it was time for some well deserved R&R for both us and the space dragon. What better way to spend this day of rest then on a lake under the hot Missouri sun. Thanks to the Hartley family, our lake day was unforgettable.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term "Lake Day", allow me to enlighten you. It is in fact what it implies: a day at/on/in the lake. However, there are many other wonderful elements to a lake day which make it so special.

FIRST - lake dogs to help make the lake day that much more enjoyable. Who enjoys the lake more than a dog?

SECOND - a jet ski. Let's be honest, it can get a bit boring just sitting on floats in the water. Jet skis make lake day much more exciting - especially if it's your first time!

THIRD - a pontoon. It offers a new perspective of the lake as you are able to coast all around while tickling your auditory senses with some tunes, and sipping back on some ice cold beverages.
Even the lake dog Raleigh enjoys the pontoon!

FOURTH- a beautiful sunset to end the day. Nothing beats finishing a lake day with the vibrant sun setting behind the clouds, illuminating the sky with hues of pink, yellow, orange and purple. The best part is the reflection of the colors across the lake.
